It was a privilege to witness the lightning of the Torch of Commemoration by Mr Speaker in Westminster this week, as we prepare to mark the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings.
The Commonwealth War Graves Commission’s torch is currently travelling the UK and beyond to symbolise the handing over of responsibility for the memories and lessons of the World Wars to younger generations.
