Belper is home to the oldest known example of cluster houses in the world, and are on the doorstep of Mid Derbyshire’s UNESCO World Heritage Site.
They desperately need funding to be maintained properly, and I took concerns directly to the Heritage Minister this week.
I requested increased funding for the roads leading to the cluster houses, which are in disrepair and really should be considered a heritage site.
I hope that the Minister will be able to visit Belper soon to see both the cluster roads, and the ongoing situation at Belper Mills.
