Saturday 3rd December was Small Business Saturday, and as I do every year, I took the opportunity to go out and visit some of Mid Derbyshire’s amazing small businesses.
I visited a whole range of businesses, from bridal shop Lori G to the Peacock Lounge in Allestree, and it was wonderful to meet with the business owners and their dedicated teams of staff.
On Sunday, I visited the Belper Winter Food Fair – one of the highlights of the season, and as busy as ever. The town looked fantastic and the local community supported the event brilliantly.
I was delighted to see, following my question at PMQs last week, Our Belper Mills in attendance to talk to people about the ongoing situation at the Mills. Our World Heritage Site must be protected, for the good of Belper and the whole community. If you can, please do get involved with this campaign!
