On Wednesday 6th July, I invited businesses from all over Derbyshire to come to Parliament and exhibit their produce for MPs, Peers, and parliamentary staff and security teams to sample.
Thank you to all of the businesses who put so much effort into the preparation and planning for the event – some getting up at 2am to get the van down to London in time!
The event was a great success, on a very busy day in Parliament, and hundreds of MPs, Peers and staff members attended to talk with the producers about their business, and to sample the products.
I was delighted that all of the following businesses were able to attend:
- Bluebell Dairy Ice Cream
- Project Doughnut
- Bradbury’s Cheese
- Colleague Box
- The Original Bakewell Pudding Shop
- Darley Abbey Wines
- Hogg Norton Fruit Liqueurs
- The Venue, Gladstone
MPs and Peers alike were incredibly impressed with the business owners and their amazing products, and I hope that these will lead to connections and opportunities for Derbyshire’s food producers all over the country, and indeed internationally.
I look forward to inviting more Derbyshire businesses to Parliament in the future, and please do get in touch if you’d like to be considered for a future food fair.
