Since the start of the crisis in Ukraine, following President Putin’s horrific and unjustified invasion, I have been working hard to support the Ukrainian people.
In particular, I am delighted that so many Mid-Derbyshire constituents have expressed support for Ukraine, and indeed gone further and offered to take Ukrainian refugees into their homes.
Over Recess, I met with a group of constituents who have been instrumental in helping Ukrainian refugees come to Mid Derbyshire, and I am pleased to have been able to be of assistance in liaising with the Home Office in relation to a number of their cases.
I would strongly encourage any Mid Derbyshire residents who have made applications to sponsor Ukrainian refugees to get in touch with my office, so that I can support with the application process if necessary.
