Yesterday I attended the Annual Conference of the Midlands Rail Forum in Derby.
It was a wonderful event showcasing the very best of Derby’s history, and future potential, in the rail industry.
I am campaigning for Derby to be the HQ of Great British Railways, as it is the only place with the rail history, at the centre of our network, and with the cluster of rail industry companies to be integral to the future of the sector.
I have asked questions in Parliament, met directly with the relevant Ministers, and liaised closely with the City Council on the advantages of Derby as the home for Great British Railways.
