I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of this country's greatest public servant, Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Throughout her 70 years on the throne she has demonstrated incredible commitment to public service, from the aftermath of World War 2 through to the Covid pandemic.
Her reign will be long remembered as a time of great change in the United Kingdom, in which she was the sole constant. She represented the UK superbly on the world stage, and showed care, compassion and leadership in all parts of our great country.
I pay tribute to Her Late Majesty for her years of service to this country, and my thoughts and prayers are with her family at this difficult time.
