On Friday 16th July I visited Lawn Primary school in Allestree and was delighted to meet Angeline in Year 6. Angeline recently took part in a national competition 'Show Racism the Red Card', which has been running for 22 years and has become the largest equalities themed competition in the UK, with over 23,600 entrants taking part this year from over 340 schools across England. Angeline won 3rd place in the Year 5/6 Creative Writing Category and it was lovely to chat to her. We discussed her piece of writing, her aspirations to become a lawyer or actress when she is older and how she is excited to move onto The Ecclesbourne School in Duffield in September.
