I was delighted to meet A-Level Government & Politics and History students at The Ecclesbourne School recently to talk about my role as a Member of Parliament. We discussed my career in politics and how I became an MP, which all began when I campaigned to save the Sixth Form at the school.
It is really pleasing to see young people engaging conscientiously about key issues related to our parliamentary democracy. In addition to my visit, this month also saw me welcome a group of Year 12 pupils from the school to Westminster, where they enjoyed a tour of the Houses of Parliament.
