Earlier this month, I supported Guide Dogs UK’s ‘High Street Heroes’ campaign, spreading awareness to business owners and staff about the rights of guide dogs owners to access spaces with their guide dogs.
We encourage business owners across Mid Derbyshire to support access rights for guide dog owners, including by displaying an ‘assistance dogs welcome’ sticker on their window.
I hope that residents and businesses will join me in supporting this campaign so that we can make Mid Derbyshire a welcoming and accessible place for all guide dog owners.
