Earlier today, I met with the organisers of Derby City Council’s bid for the UK City of Culture 2025.

I hope that we will be able to demonstrate that Derby and Derbyshire’s amazing cultural, sporting and industrial heritage make it the best place to host the City of Culture.

I previously raised the issue in the House of Commons and am supporting Derby's bid, alongside other Derby MPs.
