Israeli settlements on Palestinian territory are illegal under international law and the protests which are ongoing are about the Israeli government’s proposed changes enabling them to ignore legal rulings in their own country.

This is the government’s position and it is very important and I am glad that the Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to a two-state solution to the Israel-Palestine conflict last week.
