I was delighted to be invited to speak this week to the Derby Medical Society.
It was founded back in 1862 and is still bringing together expert medical practitioners in and around Derby and Mid-Derbyshire.
It was great to have the chance to personally thank them for the heroism and dedication that they have showed throughout the pandemic, and to talk to them about my role as an MP and some of the important current issues in my field and in theirs.
I enjoyed discussing my key priorities in Parliament, including the Second Reading of my Marriage and Civil Partnerships (Minimum Age) Bill, and my campaign to ban trophy hunting imports, and hearing about their challenges and priorities as we continue our battle against Covid-19.
