Pocket Parks Funding
The Communities Secretary Robert Jenrick has launched a £1.35 million ‘Pocket Parks’ fund to help voluntary community groups build or regenerate parks across England. This is a fantastic opportunity for voluntary groups in Mid-Derbyshire to collaborate with their local authorities and other funding sources to help create valuable green spaces in our communities.
Eligibility and funding
The Pocket Parks Funding can provide up to £15,000 for the creation of a new park or £25,000 for the regeneration of an existing park. The funding is available for areas from 0.02 hectares (about the size of a tennis court) up to 0.4 hectares.
Proposals must be brought by community groups, including charities, local voluntary organisations or tenancy associations, by 31 December 2019.
