Recently I was pleased to visit the NHS Derbyshire Healthcare Foundation Trust and meet with new Chief Executive Mike Powell. I was shown a virtual tour of Derby’s new acute Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) being built alongside Kingsway Hospital. This is important as patients will be more closely connected to their loved ones in the county as they receive care.
