Pauline Latham OBE MP recently opened a Derbyshire village pub which has undergone a £500,000 revamp and has been restored to its former glory. The opening took place on Friday 4th November at the Queen's Head on Victoria Avenue in Ockbrook.
The pub closed earlier in the year and has undergone a huge refurbishment to create a new, stylish pub with an informal atmosphere. The building is owned by Burton-based firm Punch Taverns and has been given the revamp by independent company, Stonegate.
The pub will be serving a range of craft and cask beers and will offer a seasonal menu with a variety of dishes to suit all tastes. It also has new managers in place, David and Julia Pike, who are two of Stonegate’s top performing managers and who hail from Derbyshire.
The pub has also created 25 new jobs so is excellent news for the local economy.
