I enjoyed attending the official opening of Belper Rugby Club’s new extension this summer with club chair Jackie Dyer and Rugby Football Union president Nigel Gillingham.

I was pleased to meet local Derbyshire business Eurocell, Bulkhead, 3C Developments, John Day Decorators, and JC Balls and Sons who generously gave products and provided services to build the extension.

The opening was the second cause for celebration this season as the club won the Papa John National Community Cup.
