On Friday 8th March 2024, the third annual #LetGirlsPlay Biggest Ever Football Session will be taking place in schools across England.
I am encouraged to hear that several schools in Mid-Derbyshire have already signed up to take part. I am a keen advocate for grassroots football, and I am delighted to see so many girls playing football. It is very important for young people to be active, and being part of a team promotes physical, social and mental wellbeing.
As in previous years, the aim of the event is to get as many girls as possible to all play football on the same day in schools across the country.
