I am pleased to be hosting a Graduate and Apprenticeship Fair on Friday 13th May. The details are:
Time: 10.00am – 3pm
Location: The Atrium, University of Derby’s Kedleston Road Campus.
Apprenticeships provide tremendous opportunities for those looking to get on the job, paid experience, as well as a qualification that is attractive to employers. The facts on apprenticeships speak for themselves. A Level 2 apprenticeship raises incomes by an average of 11% 3-5 years after completing it. A Level 3 apprenticeship delivers a 16% boost.
For businesses, apprenticeships make them more competitive. 70% of employers reported that apprentices help improve the quality of their product or service.
Apprenticeship and Graduate Fair: Friday, May 13th 2016.
A large number of local businesses will be present who have graduate and apprenticeship opportunities. There will also be a CV clinic, so attendees can bring along a copy of their CV to see whether it can be improved. Entry is free and you can just turn up on the day. I encourage anyone who is considering an apprenticeship and would like to speak to businesses who have apprenticeship/graduate opportunities to attend.
